Last Friday night, April 12th, the B.Wine Association hosted a dazzling gala dinner at the restaurant “Al Cortile” in Milan, sponsored by renowned wine producers Famiglia Cotarella, Masi, and Grappa Nonino.
From the moment guests stepped into the enchanting courtyard of Al Cortile, they were greeted with an air of sophistication and an unusual version of the spritz made using Grappa Nonino.
As the evening progressed, the guests moved inside, where, after a short speech by B.Wine President Maria Pia Martino, they could begin to sample the wines from the prestigious sponsors. Famiglia Cotarella, a name synonymous with quality and tradition, showcased their Metodo Classico Brut, a sparkling wine from the Montefiascone estate, made solely using the unique Roscetto grapes. It captivated with its effervescence and crisp elegance.
The first course of the evening was expertly paired with Famiglia Cotarella’s Soente Viognier Lazio IGP 2023, a wine that embodied the essence of the Lazio region with its vibrant notes of citrus fruits and white flowers, perfectly refreshing the guests’ palates.
As the evening progressed, Masi’s Campofiorin 2020 took center stage. Its velvety texture and complex flavors harmonized perfectly with the beef main course. This iconic red wine, a testament to Venetian winemaking expertise, left an indelible impression on all who tried it.
Following the dinner, guests went outside for an exciting lottery where luck smiled upon several fortunate individuals who earned bottles of wine and spirits as prizes—a grand finale to an evening filled with surprises and delight.
In closing, the Gala night would not have been complete without some drinks crafted from Grappa Nonino and Amaro “Quintessentia” alle Erbe, representing unusual yet incredibly sophisticated after-dinner cocktails that led all the guests to the end of a fantastic night.
